Managing Partner
Badejo Kofoworola Olabisi
Badejo Kofoworola Olabisi is the Managing Partner of Kofo Badejo & Company, a Lagos-based law firm built on the belief that sound legal counsel should be practical, discreet and firmly grounded in the realities of doing business in Nigeria. He has spent close to four decades advising companies, boards and individuals on corporate law, commercial transactions, company secretarial practice and litigation.
His legal journey began after graduating with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, and completing the Barrister at Law programme at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986 and served his National Youth Service Corps as a Staff Solicitor at the Federal Mortgage Bank in Sokoto, where he gained early experience in mortgage and property law.
In 1987, Kofoworola joined T. O. S. Benson & Co. (Solicitors) on Broad Street, Lagos, cutting his teeth in general legal practice before moving into corporate law. For fourteen years, from 1990 to 2004, he was Legal Adviser and later Manager of Secretarial Services at West African Portland Cement Plc (now Lafarge Africa), a major listed manufacturer. That period shaped his approach to advisory work: rigorous attention to compliance, clear documentation, and the importance of aligning legal advice with boardroom objectives.
Between 2004 and 2007 he practised as a Partner at Badejo, Dambo & Associates, handling commercial advisory and contentious matters, before serving for over a decade as Executive Director and Company Secretary of Lennap Services Limited. There he advised at board level on governance, statutory compliance and corporate secretarial administration, experience that now underpins the firm's company secretarial and regulatory practice.
Since 2018, Kofoworola has led Kofo Badejo & Company from its Oregun, Lagos office. His practice covers company formation and compliance, contract drafting and review, debt recovery, property and real estate transactions, and general litigation. Clients value his calm judgment, thorough preparation and ability to explain complex issues in plain terms.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Institute of Directors, Nigeria.
